Welcome to the City of Garden City Department of Planning, Building and Safety Engineering web page!  We are located in the City of Garden City Civic Center building at:

The department is managed through contract with McKenna Associates.  Donna Kripps of McKenna Associates is the department manager and handles all planning and zoning matters.  Building inspections are handled through subcontract with Ken P. Buccilli, LLC. 

The department provides administrative support to the City of Garden City Planning Commission.  The department also issues all Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing permits for new construction and existing structures for both residential and commercial sites.

Certificates of Occupancy are issued for new construction, as well as for the sale or rental of residential and commercial properties.

The Building Department's hours are 8:30 am 5:00 pm.  All of City Hall, including the Building Deaprtment is closed for lunch from 12:30-1:30pm.
