Maplewood Community Center Maplewood Community Center is located at 31735 Maplewood in Garden City. It is west of Merriman, east of Venoy between Ford Road and Warren. Housed at the Community Center are three major divisions of the Recreation Department: the Senior Adult Program, Family Resource Center, and Maplewood Recreation Division. The following are programs and activities scheduled at the center.

Aerobics and Body Toning For adults 17 years old and older Join our certified instructors for a great cardiovascular workout. No experience is required; you set your own pace. Please wear comfortable clothes, aerobic shoes and bring water and an exercise mat. As always, please consult your doctor before starting any fitness program. Our 10-week class meets twice a week for a total of 20 classes. A third “drop in” day, Saturday mornings at 8 a.m., is available for a special drop in price of $3.00 if interest continues. Don’t wait for a new session to begin. You may join a session at any time and the cost will be prorated. Residents $30.00 Non-resident: $45.00 Daily Drop in $4.00 (except on Saturday mornings) Evening classes are held on Monday and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Morning classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday’s from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

Weight Room The Weight Room is available for men and women 17 years old or older. Panoct8, Inc manages it. The room has a full range of free weights, a treadmill, universal, leg press, butterfly and squat machines. The room is open during Center hours. Cost for Garden City Resident: $100.00 per year $ 60.00 for 6 months $ 3.00 daily drop in Cost for Non Resident: $120.00 per year $ 70.00 for 6 months $ 5.00 daily drop in Personal Training available see Chris Panizzoli Senior Adult Fitness Room For Seniors 50 years and older Open 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday The Fitness Room includes treadmills, universal, and other aerobic equipment. Cost: $35.00 for residents 50 years old and older- $1.00 daily drop in Garden Club The Garden City Garden Club meets the fourth Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Maplewood Center.

Indoor Flea Market and Crafts 1st Sunday of the month, Resumes October. *January’s Flea Market will be on the second Sunday of the month. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. for set up only.
