City of Garden City, Michigan City Library Children's Programs

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS

Storytimes
Storytimes for children ages 3 through Kindergarten are held in spring, fall and winter. Encourage your children's love of books and give them their first experience of organized group participation without mom. Children enjoy quality stories, fingerplays, flannel boards and films. Registration is required.

Halloween Party
The Halloween party is an annual tradition at the library. Children in Kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend in costume. Entertainment and refreshments are provided in a safe atmosphere.

Summer Reading
The Summer Reading Club is an independent program that keeps kids reading throughout the summer. A different theme is chosen each summer, with special programs held in June and July for children in grades 1 through 6. The Read-To-Me Club is for children ages 3 through Kindergarten with programs on Fridays geared for preschoolers.

Nite Tales
Nite Tales is a lively activity for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. In addition to stories, children create a craft to bring home every week. Movies, games, and music are also part of the fun. The Nite Tales program is held in spring, fall and winter. Registration is required.
