PROJECT CHILDSAFE
The Garden City Police Department has partnered with Project Childsafe to raise awareness in Garden City about safe and responsible firearm ownership. Project Childsafe has provided the Garden City Police Department with gunlock safety kits. These cable style gunlocks will be distributed to Garden City residents at no cost.
Project Childsafe is a nationwide program that was created to promote safe handling and storage practices among all firearm owners through the distribution of free gun locking devices and safety education messages. Project Childsafe and Project Homesafe puts an emphasis on preventing children from finding loaded firearms in the home. For more information click Here.
The kits will be distributed on a "no questions asked" basis to Garden City residents. A maximum of 3 kits per person will be given away
