SMTMD Week 3 Resources

SMTMD Week 3

More than 800,000 Michigan children whose access to school meals has been affected by the pandemic have begun to receive food assistance benefits. Benefits are retroactive to September, with assistance from September through February paid this month. MDHHS is automatically issuing the additional benefits now to the end of March so families don’t need to apply.

For each eligible child, families will receive the following estimated payments now through June:

◼️ Fully Virtual School: Estimated $127.53 monthly (has no in-person classes and attends a school that is fully virtual)

◼️ Hybrid School: Estimated $77.06 monthly (attends a school with a hybrid schedule of in-person and remote learning)

Monthly benefits will vary based on the number of school days in each month.
