NEW COVID-19 VACCINE APPOINTMENTS OPEN THROUGH MAY 1; ELIGIBILITY EXPANDS APRIL 5; HOURS FOR VACCINATION CENTER ADDEDVISIT: www.cityofdearborn.org/covidMore appointments have opened up through May 1 to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the Consolidated Vaccination Center serving Dearborn and six other communities at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.Appointments must be made at www.cityofdearborn.org/covid. People who are 18 and older with medical conditions and those 50 and over qualify. Starting Monday, April 5, those 18 and older can receive a vaccine. Vaccination appointments are reserved for people who live in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Inkster, Redford, Allen Park, Garden City, and Melvindale.The vaccines are the two-dose Moderna shots. Masks covering your mouth and nose are required to enter and remain in the building. People will be asked to show their I.D. and will be screened at the door. Starting April 12, the vaccination center will be open 12 hours a day, Monday through Thursday.The Consolidated Vaccination Center is a collaborative effort between the seven communities, with support from Wayne County.
